Dead Sea with near Narbonne! This is not the advertisement of a property developer, but rather the feeling lived after a bathe in the pond of Doul.
The pond of Doul is in the North-East of Peyriac de Mer.
Considered only lagoon hyperhaline of the Mediterranean littoral, the pond of Doul has a salinity ranging between 50 and 60 g/l, is approximately twice that of the sea. Of a surface of 129 ha, this area of water communicates with the saltworks of Peyriac de Mer. Acquired between 1981 and 2003 by the conservatoire du littoral, this protected pond is arranged for the bathe (no lifeguards).
